Pre
interview |
| |
1.
|
Pay
attention to every detail you
fill in the application form. This is going to
form the first impression and probably the last
one you will make if you have made any major mistake. |
| |
2.
|
Alter
& update your CV to match the requirements
in
such a way that they bring out the key skills
that an interviewer is looking for.Dont just submit
a standard template you have been using over the
years . |
| |
3.
|
Prepare
yourself for the interview. With
a host of different media at your disposal you
should be able learn about the organization, its
past, present and what it plans to do in the future. |
| |
4.
|
Understand
the Job Role well and
what part you will play in the organization. In
case you don’t understand any point this
can be discussed at the end of the interview. |
| |
At
the Interview |
| |
1. |
Dress
smartly. Though it’s the work the organization
is interested in, your attire portrays your personality
and professionalism. |
| |
2. |
Check
your morning newspaper for new developments that
could affect the organization you will be going
down to so that you are armed with the latest
information. |
| |
3. |
Be
on time. Factor in contingencies like traffic,
not being able to locate the venue etc. |
| |
4. |
Make
sure that none of your high tech accessories like
your cellphone or your electronic watch will distract
you or the interviewers, so turn them off before
you start the meeting. |
| |
5. |
Don’t
think panic when its your turn to go in for the
interview. Relax and stay calm. |
| |
6. |
Keep
an introduction line/s handy, this is usually
the first thing you might be asked. |
| |
7. |
Shake
Hands firmly. Your grip will portray your confidence. |
| |
8. |
Listen
carefully |
| |
9. |
Think
for a moment before you answer and make sure not
to miss any part of the question. |
| |
10. |
If
you are unable to answer don’t beat around
the bush. |
| |
11. |
This might sound trivial but be prepared for stereotyped
questions like your achievements, strengths, weaknesses. |
| |
12. |
Bring
out your Qualities, Strengths; Values that you
believe make you the best man for the job. |
| |
13. |
Supplement
your answers with examples that can be related
and understood easily. |
| |
14. |
Clarify
any doubts you might have or ask any questions
that shows your interest in the role. |
| |
15. |

a closing note ready. |
