Job Title: Project Manager
Reports to: Project Management Office/ CEO

Job Purpose

The job holder needs to manage Projects using structured project management methodology, manage conflicts and mobilize resources with the sole goal of achieving the project target dates. To manage complex and large project by way of good project plans, budget and execution.

Dimensions

Financial: Critical Projects that has significant revenue impact and reputation impact
Staff: Coordinate with Product Development / IT Team

Principal Accountabilities

The main duty of the jobholder is to provide the project management, support, consultancy and training to AFS clients, interface and manage the relation with internal teams as well as with Card Associations ,
third party vendors in order to design, setup and implement card programs.

The jobholder is responsible for the project management and implementation of AFS projects for external clients and internally.
1. Chairing and facilitating project meetings
2. Set and drive initial meetings with the customers, internal Business Development team and AFS management team.
3. Creating the Project Definition Document that should include Scope Definition, Risk Management, Change Management, Milestones, Communication and Escalation Procedures, Meetings schedule, minutes, etc…
4. Coordinate with the various departments within AFS and the external vendors to obtain work estimates and to book resources.
5. Prepare Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and detailed project plan that should identify tasks, responsibilities and delivery dates.
6. Provide assistance to the project team and provide solutions for problems and conflicts.
7. Manage Risks, Changes and plan deviations within the project.
8. Provide the management and stakeholders with accurate forecasts and progress reports, Provide timely alerts on any serious deviations in Project Plan/Timeline.
9.Ensure quality of deliverables and proper hand over on project completion.
10. Ensure sufficient documentation through the project lifecycle
11. Responsible for creating and maintaining training material and Project documentation in compliance with existing standards & methodology.
12. Produce and compile Statement of Work (SOW) by going through the process:
i. Gathering user requirements and translating them into system specification
ii. Designing solutions to fit into the system architecture
iii. Consider integration between internal and external systems and applications
13. The jobholder may have staff responsibility and in such a case the jobholder will be responsible for the day to day management of their staff, mentoring, appraisals, development plan, resource and task management.

The job holder needs to manage Projects in the complex and dynamic environment with right prioritization, resource mobilization and promoting team work.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1. Minimum of 5 years Project Management experience using structured project management methodology such as Prince2
2. The candidate must demonstrate clear understanding of System/Application Development and implementation life cycle.
3. Proven record in managing complex and large projects to time and budget
4. Can do attitude, dynamic and result-oriented
5. Excellent written English skills
6. Presentable with Excellent presentation skills
7. Leadership and management skills
8. Strong communication and negotiation skills
9. Strong problem solving and decision making skills
10. Ability to coach and mentor

13. Excellent knowledge of MS Project or similar project planning tool
14. Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, Including MS Visio.
15. Ability and readiness to travel outside Bahrain

Additional Knowledge & Experience that would be a bonus

1. Previous experience in managing projects in the electronic payment industry & services delivery
2. Knowledge of FDI VisionPlus Application
3. Experience and knowledge of Visa, MasterCard and JCB Regulations & Products.
4. Good knowledge of EMV (smart card/chip technology) and surrounding processes.
